Dear Substitute Teachers,

We want to express our sincere gratitude for your dedication to USD 214's students. Your commitment to education is invaluable, and we thank you for your service to our school district.

We'd like to invite you to participate in a voluntary professional development opportunity designed to enhance your substitute teaching experience within our district. We will compensate you for a half-day pay for your time to show our appreciation for your dedication.

This professional development will cover essential topics, including the district student handbook, substitute handbook, and effective classroom management strategies.

Date: Thursday, August 22nd Time Options:

• Morning Session: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM or the  Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

To help us plan accordingly, please RSVP to Kevin Warner at kwarner@usd214.org by August 21, 2024, indicating which session you would like to attend. The professional development will be located at Joyce School. 

We understand that your time is valuable, and we appreciate your consideration of this opportunity to grow professionally.

We also invite you to the District Convocation on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Breakfast will be at 7 AM at Bear Creek, and the Convocation will be at 9 AM at Kepley Auditorium. District Convocation will follow the Ministerial Alliance Luncheon at 11:45 AM in Kepley Cafeteria.
